UK Recovery Walk Celebrations Event at Calthorpe Park in Birmingham UK

UK Recovery Walk 2013 Birmingham Celebrations!

Hello again and a big warm welcome to you all
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

As you may be aware Yesterday was the event of the year for the recovery Community, If you are not aware then where have you been hiding. :-)

It was Birmingham`s turn to host THE UK RECOVERY WALK 2013, It was an amazing turnout for people who have experienced recovery and the people affected by addiction and Alcohol abuse and not just people in Birmingham. We met people who have travelled from all over the country to;

 INSPIRE, PROMOTE AND CELEBRATE RECOVERY.

UKRW  2013 was created to showcase Recovery.
Here is some for you to look at, courtesy of;
The Recovery Art Project here in Birmingham.

 Educate and Inform our Communities About Recovery!!!

UKRR Member Jaine, with Riot Radio Member, James.
Great Guy who also helps to Inspire, Promote and Celebrate Recovery.

       As you can see from the mass of people and tents behind the above picture that it was an absolutely fantastic day to be in recovery or been through recovery. It kinda makes you realise the friends you have made along the way and the support they give you without even knowing it.

UK Recovery Radio is blessed with a great team, who support and know each other to the absolute maximum. Then to be able to share that with others and share in others success and happiness, well, that is just the best natural buzz I have ever experienced.

The UKRW 2013 symbolises what the recovery community is all about......UNITY and that we are, here to stay, we are going to change the way recovery and addiction is seen and perceived by our communities by educating and becoming visible to them.

Let us show the world, the awesome, side of recovery!!!

Here are a few new friends we made who
were here to enjoy the
 celebrations, all the way from Chatham.
UKRR Member Jaine, Happily joining
in with the Celebrations.

A Massive THANK YOU! to all of the great people, who worked there socks off to bring us this great event, that will be remembered as;

The Recovery Event of the Year 2013
